Stuff and things and Nano

I decided to nano this year.  Which means I'll probably be a little absent from LJ.  Which...yeah.  I haven't got a clue why I'm doing this.  I work 32 hours a week.  I have a three year old.  I have a husband who needs our computer most nights for his job (which, being our main source of money, is incredibly important).  November includes Thanksgiving.  Plus, I'm leaving tomorrow morning for four days in Charlotte, which means I won't be able to get started until the fourth, at the earliest.  Remind me why I'm doing this again?  My other blog, my beloved Are You There Youth? It's Me, Nikki, will be in the hands of guest bloggers for November.  Which I'm kind of nervous about.  Not that I'm a control freak, but that blog is very special to me and I'm a little scared about leaving it in the hands of others.  But, yanno, it's the price I'll pay to stay up late at night trying to reach 50,000 words in 30 days. 

So....Charlotte.  Yep.  Going to visit my sister, her husband and her son (who is exactly fifty one weeks younger than G).  We're taking the kids trick or treating, then just hanging out.  But yeah, this is an eight hour car ride each way.  With a three year old AND my 62 year old mother.  Yay me!  Another problem?  Tonight is karaoke night in my office.  I promised one of the attorneys that I'd sing Ice Ice Baby with him.  Which means I have to be at least a little drunk (no way I can do that sober).  Which means I may very well have a hangover while starting my 8-hour drive tomorrow. 

Because I'm that fucking smart.
