Dear G-
Three years ago today was your due date. Three years ago today I was completely uncomfortable at forty weeks pregnant. Three years ago today, I was depressed because six days earlier I had attempted to have my labor induced, but it FAILED. (I'd had no idea inductions of labor could fail until my own did). Three years ago today I went to my ObGyn, who declared my cervix was still LFC, which stands for long, firm and closed. Three years ago today the same ObGyn said he'd never seen anyone's cervix stand up so well to an attempted induction of labor. Three years ago today, I burst in to tears upon hearing that; convinced I was going to be the first woman on earth who was pregnant forever. Three years ago today, I was convinced my uterus was housing a devil-child who was going to be too stubborn for his own good. (The jury is still out on that one!). Three years ago today, I had no idea how much my life was going to change in three short days.....
Love, Mommy
