Generally, I think I'm OK. But things ran away from me this weekend.  I try to make sure my kid eats healthy, but this weekend he just didn't.  Here's what he managed to eat over the course of two days:

Birthday cake
Pancakes
Hot dogs
Chicken Fingers
French Fries
M&M's
Krispy Kreme Doughnut. 

I gotta get better at this.

Also, at dinner today, he was eating green beans (OK, there's one good thing!) and he managed to stick his fork down his throat.  Like WAY down his throat and didn't gag.  My response?

"Some day, you might make some other boy very happy."

God, what the fuck is wrong with me to say that to a two year old?  Granted, it was funny and it made my husband laugh.  Hopefully it's not CPS worthy though.

Hah. I wanna have a kid just cos I want an excuse to buy a Stanford tree mobile that plays a lullabye version of "All Right Now" and of course the billions of cute kid stuff haha.

:) I did manage to get Julie and Julia and a book about Julia child + an apron with a steak on it. I was happy. I was also exhausted which is evidenced by the fact a cat nap turned epic. I am on vacation now so yay!

Kid stuff is unbelievably cute. And hard to NOT buy all the time. Budget shmudget. But not the best reason to have a kid. (But a good reason to have friends and family with kids!)

Let me know how Julie & Julia is. I'm interested in reading it, but my TBR pile is getting out of control!

Oh yeah...Alcide. Even his name is awesome. Though I did totally love Eric in this one. He was so naughty...coming all over Sookie's back while she was drinking his blood.

So far the book is good but she does a thing that bothers me in ANY biography, has a tendancy to mid story wander into a sub story that almost always branches into a sub-sub story. But it's cute.

She like you has a filthy mouth which in endears me to certain people :) When I first wiki'ed her after seeing the movie and I read that she was much more caustic and sweary I thought of how you went from cool to fucking awesome when I figured out you were not merely some pg book reviewer :)

Oh god I forgot about that. Yeah. The books are so much more fun than the show which is getting grossly out of hand on being so far from the plot. Dexter did the same thing and I ended up not watching the show because the books were just better.

But yeah Alcide is the kinda guy that I fantasize about werewolf and all.
